Dr. Susan Sandage D.Ac., L.Ac.,Dipl.OM (NCCAOM), RN-Owner of Acupuncture & Herbal Solutions LLC (AHS)

Susan Sandage Acupuncturist

I founded Acupuncture & Herbal Solutions LLC to introduce people to this profoundly effective medicine. We help our patients find inner vitality, balance, and optimal health using acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine technologies. Being an acupuncturist and facilitating these life/health transformations is the most rewarding career imaginable.

I was diagnosed with an auto-immune condition in my 20’s. Being an RN, I knew that the prescribed medications could not address the unlying imbalance responsible for these symptoms but only mask them. Before this diagnosis, I ran and worked out regularly, then experienced total body achiness and no energy. Following the advice of physicians and nurses I worked with, I went to see an acupuncturist who treated me twice weekly for 11 weeks. At the end of those treatments, my energy returned, and my achiness left. I felt my vitality again. My body balanced using acupuncture and East Asian herbal formulas. Today, forty years later, I am symptom-free.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts & Science in Nursing (B.A.&B.S.) from Kent State University in 1977, a Master of Science and Oriental Medicine (M.S.O.M.) at Southwest Acupuncture College in 2004, and a Doctor in Acupuncture (D.Ac.) from the Won Institute of Graduate Studies in 2022. The Dipl.O.M. means I have national certifications in acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine(NCCAOM).

After working as the sole practitioner of AHS for 17 years, I now work as the owner while living in Austin, Texas.

Today I enjoy treating patients using remote or distance acupuncture. This method can address the deeper underpinnings of imbalances responsible for the physical and psychological disharmonies. Distance acupuncture is performed remotely in the privacy of your own home.
